Name ideas
Your name ideas will appear here
Enter a keyword or two and press Generate ideas. Checking availability is a separate step.
Some names couldn't be checked, which usually means you're offline or the DNS service didn't answer. The ideas are still here: press Check availability to try again.
"No DNS found" is a strong hint, not a guarantee. Always confirm with a registrar before you buy.
Your keywords stay in your browser. Checking availability sends only the domain names to Cloudflare's public DNS service.
How it works
Enter one to three keywords that describe your business, product or project.
Choose an extension. The generator combines your keywords and adds short prefixes and suffixes such as "get", "try", "hq" and "app".
Press Check availability. Each name is looked up in public DNS: names with records are taken, and names without any are probably free.
Good to know
- "No DNS found" is a strong hint, not a guarantee. A name can be registered without DNS, reserved or sold as a premium domain, so confirm with a registrar before you buy.
- It doesn't check trademarks or social media handles. Search those before you commit to a name.
- Lookups go to Cloudflare's public DNS service (cloudflare-dns.com), and only when you press Check availability.

Domain name ideas questions
How does the availability check work?
It asks Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS service for each name's name-server records. If records exist, the domain is registered and in use. If none exist, it's probably available, but only a registrar can confirm it.
Why might a name show as likely available when it is taken?
Some domains are registered but have no DNS set up, are on hold, or are reserved by the registry. That is why every likely available name should be confirmed with a registrar.
Which extensions can I check?
.com, .ai, .io, .co and .app. Pick one at a time to see ideas for it.
Does the tool keep my keywords?
No. Name ideas are generated in your browser, and nothing is stored. Only the domain names themselves are sent to the DNS service, and only when you press Check availability.
Can HeroKit help with naming and market research?
Yes. Market research, keyword and long-tail research, competitor analysis and domain-name ideas with availability checks are part of what HeroKit does, delivered as a clear summary you can act on.
