Your browser can't transcribe speech
This tool uses the speech recognition built into Chrome, Edge and Safari, and this browser doesn't offer it. Open the page in one of those browsers, or send your voice notes to HeroKit on WhatsApp or Telegram and she'll transcribe them for you.

HeroKit never receives your audio or your transcript. Your browser may use its own speech service to transcribe.
How it works
Choose the language you'll speak, press Start recording and allow the microphone when your browser asks.
Talk naturally. Words appear as you speak and settle into the transcript as each phrase ends.
Press Stop when you're done. Edit the transcript if you need to, then copy it or download a .txt file.
Good to know
- It transcribes what you say into your microphone. It can't open saved audio files, such as voice notes you've received.
- It relies on your browser's built-in speech recognition, which Chrome, Edge and Safari offer. Some browsers, including Firefox, don't.
- Your browser may send the audio to its own speech service, such as Google’s or Apple’s, to turn it into text. Punctuation also depends on the browser.

Voice note transcriber questions
Which browsers does the voice note transcriber work in?
It uses the browser's built-in speech recognition, which Chrome, Edge and Safari offer. If your browser doesn't, the page says so, and you can switch browsers or send your voice notes to HeroKit instead.
Can I upload a voice note or audio file?
Not with this tool: it transcribes what you say into your microphone. To turn saved voice notes into text and tasks, send them to HeroKit on WhatsApp or Telegram.
Is my audio stored?
HeroKit never receives your audio or your transcript. Depending on your browser, the audio may be processed by the browser's speech service, such as Google's or Apple's, under that company's privacy terms.
Why did the transcription stop?
Browsers pause speech recognition after a long silence or when the connection drops. The transcriber restarts by itself while you are recording; if it stops, press Start recording again and your transcript is kept.
What does HeroKit do with voice notes?
Send voice notes in any language. HeroKit transcribes them, understands the task, and can answer you back with a voice message.
